Cloudstreet is a duo from Australia that comprises Nicole Murray and John Thompson. They perform New Australian folk music, "a combination of Anglo-Celtic and Australian traditional songs and tunes, coupled with trad-styled original songs". At the moment they are on tour in the UK, and are making a rare appearance in Southport. I've seen them before and they provide a lively and entertaining night, well worth an evening of your time. Just had a email from Nic and John commenting that they were delighted with Sunday evening's reception and complimenting the Club on being 'great.'
ReplyDeleteWell it's always good to get positive feedback and a packed room is something of a plus point! I think it safe to say Southport will see them again.
They're a nice couple; I put them up last time, and John in particular was made up with my 4 foot Dalek in the dining room.
